Overflow: Experiencing and Sharing the Fullness of Christ
Following Jesus means more than wearing a cross necklace or glueing a fish symbol on our cars. It’s a devotion that starts with emptying ourselves of anything that blocks our access to knowing him fully. “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus…” (Heb.12:2 NIV). Emptying ourselves enables us, then, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, replenishing our souls to the fullness of life with Christ. The emptying and filling process positions us to the fullness that leads to Overflow. As we let go and refill, we overflow with the knowledge and love of our Savior, enabling us to live with hearts of hope, forgiveness, compassion, and joy.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13 NIV).
Empty. Fill. Overflow.

Tell me my purpose, tell me your plan
Tell me the truth of who I really am,
Give me your Spirit to see as you see
To know why I’m here and what my life means.
Awaken our hearts, drench us in truth
We empty ourselves to be filled with you,
Pour us out, Father, wherever we go
So others drink deeply from your overflow.
