Trip Details
Focus: Home Construction, Dental & Medical Clinic, Children’s Ministry, & Widow Care Embark on a mission to the mountain highlands of Guatemala, in the town of Chichicastenango, and join us in serving the Quiche people. Partnering with Missions Frontier, we will provide much-needed medical and dental clinics in rural areas, offering care to underserved communities. Continuing a long-standing relationship that Oak Hills Church has had in the area for over 40 years, we will also build four homes for local widows and engage in children’s ministry, deepening relationships and sharing hope with this beautiful mountain community.
Mission Partners: Formed in 2007, Missions Frontier is a Christian non-profit development organization providing resources and support that encourage local initiative and cultivate Christ-centered relationships in Guatemala. Fun Fact: Oak Hills Church has been actively serving this region for over 40 years! In the 1980s, a young Max Lucado, then a student at Abilene Christian University, joined a short-term mission trip to visit Pat Hile, Oak Hills Church's Spanish Minister, who was serving as a missionary in the area at the time.
