Trip Focus: Refugees, Food Pantries, Adult Ministry, World Food Hub
Gui and Lorena Schott are full time Brazilian missionaries sent out in 2016 from Refuge of Grace an Oak Hills Church plant in Brazil. They are currently leading YWAM Coventry. Gui states our main focus is to impact our city with the gospel of Jesus. We are reaching out to people and making disciples of every nation, as Coventry is a very multicultural city. We primarily work by reaching out to the refugees in the city through worship services, Alpha courses, Bible studies, Men and Ladies group, Food Hub, engaging in interpersonal relationships in community with their lead.
Coventry, England Itinerary:
9/22: Travel day. Arrival, eat lunch and check into hotel. Rest and time with hosts.
9/23: Visit Coventry ministry sites with community service focus.
9/24: Morning prayer and worship, ministry activities with refugee community.
9/25: Mosaic Church, Lunch out, One Family Refugee Church in the evening.
9/26: Sightseeing day, Warwick Castle OR Oxford, Team decision where to visit.
9/27: Warehouse Food Hub preparation and dinner fellowship
9/28: World Food Hub distribution, small group with refugees, team debriefing.
9/29: Travel home
Trip Details:
Total Trip Cost: $2,200 Land Cost: $1,250. All inclusive: meals, lodging, in-country transportation, insurance, ministry supplies, etc. Airfare Cost: $950 OHC MUST arrange all Airfare travel.
Place of Stay: The team will stay in Coventry at the Premier Inn, which includes a breakfast each morning.
Trip Orientation/Team Meetings: We will have several required Team Meetings prior to our trip. focusing on building team unity, learning about the ministry, and planning for our service together.
